Veteran-Owned or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned

Small Business Meet-Up

Are you are a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and are interested in doing contract business with the VA then this Meet-Up is an opportunity for you hear what the requisites are for you to be eligible to do business with the VA. Eligibility starts with having you and your business Verified by the CVE (Center for Valuation and Evaluation). Although this process is thorough and will require a considerable amount of documentation, once completed your business will be placed on the much coveted VIP (Vendor Information Page) located on the website. This will be the authentication needed when the VA puts out a RFP (request for proposal) for a product or service. The VA has been instructed by Congress that 3% of its products and services budget must be spent with either VOSBs or SDVOSBs. Unless you are Verified with the CVE you are not eligible to bid on contracts that are either VOSB or SDVOSB set-asides.

This Meet-Up is an opportunity to learn from other veteran-owned businesses how to get the “edge” on your competitors by getting Verified from the CVE, sharing ideas, sharing ideas and working together to promote your businesses. Being listed on the VIP signifies that your Company is verified and eligible for VA contracts. You have served your country and now your country is thanking you by making the Veterans First Program (signed into law by George Bush in 2006) a vehicle for an opportunity to win a lucrative VA contract.
